What is the boat like?

You’ll be on our private, 16-passenger yacht. The yacht has sails and a motor. For those who love details, the yacht is made from wood, the beam is 7.30 meters and the main engine has 550 horsepower with a maximum speed of 13 knots. We love that it’s all ours.

What if I’m not a fit person? Or, what if I want to bring somebody who is not fit? Will we feel left out?

This is your retreat. Our goal is to challenge you as much as you want to be challenged, and let you relax as much as you want to relax. We will modify all the classes to make sure we are attending to both the most advanced and novice participants. And, we will clearly indicate the hikes that may be more challenging than others. All of our activities are voluntary. We are onboard to tailor our program to your desires.

What if I’m a vegetarian or have dietary restrictions?

We will do our utmost to accommodate all dietary needs and restrictions. The food is all locally sourced and fresh, and we can make substitutions as required.

What are the sleeping arrangements? Can I pay a supplement to get a single cabin?

The gullet has eight guest rooms, each set up and priced for double occupancy. Each guest room has its own private bathroom. Some of the rooms have two twin beds and others have a double bed. If you are traveling alone, we will pair you with another independent traveler. But, if you would prefer to have the solitude of your own room, we can arrange for you to pay for a single supplement. Just ask!

What is included in the price?

The price includes accommodation (based on double occupancy) and three delicious meals a day. Guided tours and entrance fees, hikes (including walking sticks) and daily fitness classes (including yoga mats) are also included. Plus, all taxes, gratuities and harbor fees.

The price does NOT include airfare. It also does not include transportation to and from the airport, private fitness sessions. Travel insurance is highly recommended but not included.

Our guests consistently report the Voyages are a terrific value for the money. There aren’t any hidden charges and, once you're onboard, you won’t need your wallet except for shopping.

What should I pack?

We suggest you pack a bathing suit, walking shoes, athletic clothes, plug adapters/converters, insect repellent, sunscreen, layered casual clothing for various weather conditions, sea sickness medication, toiletries (soap and shampoo/conditioner will be provided), and personal medications (including an epi pen if you are allergic to bees). Towels will be provided.

Do I need a visa?

For our Voyage in Greece: a visa is required for Greece if you are not from the US or Europe.

For our day trip to Turkey: A visa (approximately $30) is required for Turkey if you are traveling from the United States or many EU countries. You can purchase an evisa in advance. Make sure you have a valid passport.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance (including medical cancelation insurance) for your trip as soon as you have confirmed your booking. We have a relationship with an experienced insurance agent who will work with you to arrange the most coverage the best price. We’ll send you everything you need to know once you confirm your voyage.

Can you suggest other things for me to do while I’m in Turkey or Greece?

Absolutely! If you have specific questions, let us know and we’ll do our best to answer them. Or, we can give you ideas.
