Here’s the (highly unofficial but mostly true) origin story—and a few more quirks that make Sun Fun You voyages feel like a floating family reunion, even if it’s your first time on board.
🎲 Pirate Bingo (a.k.a. High Seas Absurdity)
It all started with a request for an evening activity that didn’t require skill—or even speaking the same language. Add in “Turkish Night” with raki and all the fixings, an impromptu costume moment, and Ali in shiny gold pants. Sprinkle in a shared willingness to get a little ridiculous—and a legendary tradition was born.
Now it’s part game, part performance art, part catharsis. We provide the accessories (and the jewels). Ali emcees with flair. And we strictly limit it to three rounds. Somehow, every time, the experience makes you feel ten years younger and ten times lighter.
💬 After-Dinner Prompts
It’s a quiet ritual: I pull out a bag of prompts. The theme varies—sometimes silly, sometimes soulful,. We take turns sharing, laughing, rolling our eyes, and occasionally tearing up. It’s one of my favorite ways to connect.

We don’t call it “napping.” We call it “horizontal sun meditation.” Whether it’s in the shade or full sun, on a cushion or a beanbag, it’s a tradition that reminds us: rest is part of the adventure.
🎲 Backgammon Battles
You might arrive not knowing the rules, but by day two you’re deep in a rivalry, slamming down your pieces with the flair of a local. It’s never really about winning. It’s about the vibe.
💦 “Drink Your Water” + “Hats, Sunscreen, Water!”
All day (and night) long, you’ll hear me encouraging everyone to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. And every time we leave the boat: “Hats, sunscreen, water!” I can’t help myself—I want all my ducklings to stay safe and sun-kissed (not sunburnt).
